Hey there,

I went to see Death Cab in Manchester early July. Here’s the set list:

Set List
The New Year
Why You’d Want to Live Here
Crooked Teeth
Company Calls
Doors Unlocked and Open
Long Division
Grapevine Fires
Codes and Keys
Summer Skin
I Will Follow You into the Dark
I Will Possess Your Heart
You Are a Tourist
Underneath the Sycamore
President of What?
Title and Registration
A Movie Script Ending
Soul Meets Body
Some Boys
The Sound of Settling

Stay Young, Go Dancing
Styrofoam Plates
Marching Bands of Manhattan

The opening band The Head and The Heart blew me away. I’ve seen Death Cab quite a few times and they’re great live- but not to sound like a bit of a turd-I enjoyed Heady Heart’s set more than the main event. When they ended with “Rivers and Roads” I had a chin quiver. I had chills. Jaw dropping music moment bliss. Incredible.

The album version cannot replicate what I heard.

This video comes … close..

Benny Gibbs. Can I call him Benny Gibbs?

I found it somewhat hard to get some good shots- I’ve actually had that problem at quite a few shows lately- smoke on stage is pretty and all, but just poops for my camera.

This is a video of “Some Boys” which is easily my favorite tune from their new album.

And this is a video of “I Will Follow You Into The Dark”- where you can barely hear the song due to audience participation.

The moral to this story is: listen to The Head and The Heart. Delicious.
